In this Procreate course for beginners, I’ll take you through all the tools you need to know to set yourself up to become a digital illustrator. This course is for everyone; all ages and levels. You don’t need to be an artist or know anything about design programmes. You’ll learn Procreate while creating easy, fun drawings and patterns. No pressure. No judgements. All questions are welcome.

I’ve over 20 years of experience as an illustrator, designer and art director. Learning Procreate has revolutionised the way I work. I’ve been using it since 2018, and I absolutely love it, and you will, too. (All the pictures here were created with Procreate!)

18 Feb – lesson 3: Combine your monster and pattern and learn how to:

• Copy and paste
• Use the selection tools
• Mask and add texture
• How to use opacities

25 Feb – lesson 4: Finish up your illustration and learn how to:

• Add details
• Edit and perfect
• How to save and export your image for printing & posting online
• How to create a process video
• Q&A

4 March – lesson 5: Show off your monster! (or not up to you)

• How to use your bonus illustration and social media package
• Q&A

If you need more help between lessons or after the course, you can purchase up to 3 additional private lessons at a special attendee rate of R650 per hour. 

Important info.

My classes are no judgement zones. It’s best to learn in a relaxed, fun environment. You can participate as little or as much as you want. Positive feedback only. Ask as many questions as you like. You can use the chat feature. You don’t have to speak up unless you want to.

You will need an iPad, Apple pencil and Procreate installed. I highly recommend a paper-feel screen protector. This is the one I use: https://paperlike.com/pages/use-and-apply-paperlike, but there are other cheaper versions available. With no or a smooth screen protector, your Apple pencil will be slipping and sliding all over your screen, making it much harder to draw.

Please don’t share your course link with others. 1 ticket = 1 person. Kids under 14 can do it with a parent, though, to help them out if needed. This course is copyrighted by me, and the replays and resources you get are for you to keep and use, but no sharing, screening, selling or distribution of this course, replays or course material is allowed without prior permission from me. 

Please enter the Zoom meeting a few minutes before so that you’re ready to go at 18h00.

I recommend taking notes, so make sure you have what you need to do so. 

Replays will be sent out after each lesson.

If you know your Zoom handle, please fill that in; if you don’t, don’t stress. Just put your name there.
